I. Collection of Information About You
1. Data Provided by You
In some areas of the website, you may be asked to provide personal data needed for you to use a specific feature (such as registering for a newsletter, tips, or hints, or so that we can process your order). You will be informed about what information you must provide for these services and which data you can voluntarily provide.
2. Passive Collection and Use of Information
When you use this website, various technologies may be used to passively gather certain information without you expressly entering it. Such passive information gathering occurs mainly in the following cases and with regard to the following data:
Information about your browser: Certain information is typically captured by browser and automatically forwarded. This can include your MAC address (unique device name), screen resolution, your operating system (Windows, Apple, Android), the version of your operating system, and the type and version of your internet browser.
Your IP address: Your IP address is a combination of numbers that is automatically assigned by your internet service provider to the computer you are using. An IP address is automatically recorded in the logfiles of our webserver when a user visits our website. Without the IP address, communication between the web server and the visitor’s computer is not possible. If we log and store the time the IP address visited our website, the IP address is always anonymized, meaning that it is not possible for us to link the IP address to you.
Device information: We would like to point out that we may record the unique device numbers (IMEI numbers) of mobile devices, as with the MAC addresses of computers. However, this is only done if it is necessary to provide a service that is being requested.
This website makes use of Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies,’ i.e. text files which are stored on your computer and permit analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google (with the help of the _anonymizeIp() extension) within a member state of the European Union or in another state which signatory to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website. This is done to compile reports on website activities and in order to provide the website operator with further services associated with the use of the website and internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser via Google Analytics is not merged with other data. You may prevent cookies being stored by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that if you do this, you may not be able to use all functions of this website in their entirety. You may object to this data collection and storage by Google Analytics at any time with effect for the future. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data (including your IP address) created by the cookie and related to your use of the website and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
